EVENT CANCELLATION: Regards the advertised panel discussion on whether the new US President is a threat to liberty, we regret to hear that Mises UK no longer wish to proceed with the scheduled programme for the collaborative event.
We have been informed that a complainant made an unfounded accusation of “fascism” that that there is concern that the event may be disrupted if the People’s Charter Foundation committee members speak. It has become common place for those who question the establishment, be the Trump, Milo, Farage, Boris, or many others, to be demonised with inaccurate labels, but it is clear from our recent webcast “Was Hitler a leftie or a rightie?” by our director, in which he very heavily criticised Hitler, that we do not have time for fascism.
We also have received complaints regards some advertised speakers who are not members of the People’s Charter Foundation, but nonetheless, whether we particularly agree with any views of speakers or not, we would seek for a discussion on Trump in, naturally, the spirit of free speech – even the BBC’s Question Time manages to permit speakers from all across the political spectrum.
However, as the room booking for the event was at the Mises UK group’s arrangement, and we were informed of programme withdrawal at such a late stage, we unfortunately do not find ourselves in a position so as to make alternative arrangements that would enable us either co-host or host such an event tonight. We appreciate the inconvenience caused.
We share your disappointment. Hopefully we will invite you to a similar discussion of populism at another date where the safety of speakers can be ensured, and with a panel perhaps less weighted in Trump’s favour so as to allow for some debate.

HELP!! We can't do this alone! Britain needs you.
We know you want us to keep up our hard work. Almost 30,000 people have subscribed to our YouTube channel. Some of our videos have been watched by half a million people!
YouTube demonetise almost all our content for being "controversial". We actually make a loss on this. If you want us to keep making these reports, a beer is all it takes. Yes, just a fiver to MBGA News a month can ensure we challenge the British media which is state-owned/funded and lefty.
